Charles G Finney AUDIO Page

These messages are not simply read, these messages are modernized and preached, using Finney's writings as the guide and foundation for these messages. They are vibrant and energetic. After all, Finney usually preached from a simple outline, often jotted down prior to his message. During the early days of his ministry, he often preached without notes at all. Later, during his later days at Oberlin College, he often relied on more detailed notes, but, if he didn't read his messages, why should I. I have spent a lot of time trying to present these messages in the same spirit and vigor that Finney presented them. My prayer is that you will get a sense of the precious presence of the Holy Spirit that so often moved his listeners to commit their hearts and lives to love and serve the Lord their God with all their hearts, and to follow Jesus Christ in love and obedience.

I am currently in the process of converting these files to single files, rather than zipped bundles of segments. All Oberlin Evangelist messages, except the letters of 1839, are now in single MP3 files. The zipped MP3 messages are broken up into segments that usually range from 4 to 6 minutes each. This should make it convient for you to unzip them, add them to your playlists, or copy them onto CD's and play them in your favorite MP3 player. Personally I found this format nicer for those who don't have sufficient time to listen to an entire message. However, many of you do prefer the single file format. If there was sufficient room on this website I'd offer both. Please send me your comments, I would appreciate your feedback.
